English is my first language, color is my second
My third is wool and the magic of transforming fiber into felt with soap, water, and friction.
Ancient in origin, alive in my hands.
My work draws from a lifetime of collected images: the blue tiles, rose gardens, and black crows of Isfahan where I lived for a year; the landscape and wildlife of the Hudson Valley outside my door; and the botanical imagery woven through my heritage. Wool, silk, and color are my means of expression.
